Property Description
The design was primarily focus on the creation of nothingness. A space design specifically to meet the needs of the client’s virtual reality. The extensive use of glass to the rear is to create the absence of wall, and also to connect the inside to the outside encouraging outdoor living. The design premise then began to focus on the spatial arrangement of nothingness. Different Architectural elements was used to create the gesture of continuity, like the gaze into the infinite sky.
The facades of the building was intended to be of two cultures:
1: Spanish Architectural Detail elements were used at the south facade (front). This was done to give the essence of grandness likening to a king. this was done to encourage the and influence the upliftment of his spirit as a reminder to his self image.
2. The Northern Facade of the building (rear) was design to reflect and influence nothingness, to create an oasis within an oasis a place to be nothing and everthing at the same time.
This space was court by a reflective, circular pool that can be seen from all public spaces in the building. it act as a magnet along with the view over the city, to pull persons to relax and reflect on nothing.
The building took a lot of circular shapes into its form, the shape was employed to create niches that will encourage gathering and hence encourage good family growth.
The master bed room was strategically placed to the nothern side o the building to capitalized on the nothern shaded light and to give a high level of energy to the client, who like to be awaken by diffuse sunlight, as a result of this the room was mainly lit from the north. The master also sits on edge, overlooking the view and the space of nothing, which give superiority to all other spaces.
